Chatarina Schneider is enginzyme's new board chair
Chatarina Schneider, unanimously approved as Chair of the Board of Directors, officially began her tenure Oct. 23. She takes charge of the board as enginzyme is ramping up efforts to increase cash flow and transition to self-sufficiency.
Schneider rose from sales manager to global marketing director of AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry, and in subsequent roles as a CEO or board chair she has helped lead several companies through scale-up to international commercialization.
"I'm very pleased to be part of this new chapter in the enginzyme story," she said. "This company is turning great science into a solid business and is among the leaders in the global effort to make chemistry greener."
Karim Engelmark Cassimjee, founder and CEO of enginzyme, said: "Chatarina has a great track record when it comes to helping guide companies of all sizes toward profitability, and she knows the chemical sector inside and out. We're lucky to have her with us."
